I’M BACK after a busy summer attending weddings and moving house (more on this later).
This is an illustration commission I did a few months ago for New Empress Magazine. It’s based on American Graffiti, George Lucas’s cult 1973 film about the 60s. It’s a bizarre film in which nothing really happens: a bunch of teenagers (including a fresh-faced Ron Howard) just drive around a lot in their amazingly beautiful cars. But it does have something about it which makes you remember the atmosphere. Have you seen it?
